ANALOGUE AND DIGITAL
Analogue is a device which record media linearly from one point to another.  Analogue devices read media by scanning the physical data off the media.

Digital is  a device which perform calculations using ones and zeroes. this method is referred as "Binary system". Digitised media is recorded in binary code of combinations of the digits 1 and 0 also called bits.
Digital technology allows great amount of information to be compressed on small storage devices that can easily be preserved and transported


MEDIA SECTORS, PLATFORMS, PRODUCT AND DEVICES
Sectors --> Moving image,   Audio,   Websites,  Publishing,   Gaming
Platforms--> a digital way for media to be distributed and accessed
Product--> The media that is created
Devices--> used to access the product

SYNERGY
When media sectors overlap and connect.
when more than 1 media sector work together on the same product

  1. Explain how media representation of ethnic groups could be said to be stereotypical. Give examples.
The Media tend to represent ethnic groups in ways that are untrue but is a general assumption of how a particular ethnicity might be. i.e Ab typical example is Black People, Black people are often represented in the media around Gangs, Drugs, Money, Girls, Aggressive, violent, and funny. This has become a general knowledge that ALL black people or MOST people are what they see on media, which is a stereotype as not all black people are what the media makes them out to be.  
  1. Discuss how access to digital media has turned media consumers into media producers
Consumers now have multiple ways to access  the digital media, it is easy to produce your own media these days, we produce media everyday intentionally and unintentionally. Through out your day you take a pic or record a video and post on social media, you are producing media, you go on your blogger and post a story or an article. 
When you watch videos on youtube you are a consumer, But when you start posting your own videos you become a media producer.
  1. Evaluate the merit of technological convergence. Give examples
Technological Convergence has changed the way we consume media as  we can have more than one media sector on one device. i.e A mobile phone, you can do almost everything on your phone, you can watch movies, listen to songs and radio, watch television, shop and order food and talk to people and even see them on your phone. you get more than 1 media sector on just 1 device your phone  
  1. Discuss why young people are using mobile devices to access radio broadcast.

THE PURPOSE OF MUSIC VIDEOS AND WHY THEY ARE STILL RELEVANT AND IMPORTANT IN THIS GENERATION. This is my research on the purpose of music videos.
